There was once a man,
Who had his heart broken
By the one he loved.
And by fates cruel humor,
He had to hear her laugh
To smell her scent
To see her ,
To remember the feel of her,
Everyday
Of the one he loved.
So the man started to turn
Off his senses to the world,
Starting with his hearing,
For he was tormented most
By the laughter of his loved one.
He then turned off his sense of smell
For when he smelled,
He smelled the lilac perfume
Of the one he loved.
Next, he turned off his sights,
For it pained him
To see what he could not obtain,
To see her everyday
To see the one he loved.
He turned off his ability to touch,
For when ever he touched
Something smooth
And anything delicate,
He was reminded of the one he loved.
Now just an empty shell,
The man realized she was still fresh in his mind.
That she made his heart beat faster,
With every memory,
With every thought,
With every breath.
So the man died.
He died so he could not suffer no more,
Of the one he loved.
